The Developer’s Contest pairs software developers with business-minded entrepreneurs from UCLA Anderson to develop prototypes of a business idea over the course of one weekend.

When: Friday, 2/24/12 through Sunday, 2/26/12

Where: UCLA Anderson School of Management Campus

Format in brief
10 UCLA Anderson students will give a 1-minute pitch of their business idea or problem to a group of developers at the Developer Contest kickoff.  After the developers have heard all 10 pitches, they will then vote for the idea they want to develop that weekend.

The Anderson student with the winning business idea will have 20-30 minutes to do Q&A with the developers about the idea and go into further detail.  The developers are given the weekend to implement a prototype of the business idea and be prepared to present their progress Sunday evening to a board of judges.  The winning team/developer will be selected by the judges and receive cash and/or other prizes.
